One Thousand and One Nights and One Night
"The Book of One Thousand and One Nights is a medieval Middle Eastern compilation, framed by the story of Scheherazade, a Sassanid Queen, who relates a series of stories to her husband, King Shahryar, in order to delay her execution. The stories are told over a period of one thousand and one nights, and every night she ends the story with a suspenseful situation, leading the King to keep her alive for another day." from

Hello and welcome to 1001+1 Nights!
This 'zine is named after the famed collection of Arabian Stories. Scheherazade was one of the greatest storytellers of all time, able to tell such compelling stories that her audience, the King, kept asking for more.
A role-playing game give the players an opportunity to tell stories just as compelling. So this 'zine is dedicated to table-top role-playing game (RPG) campaign design as a means of storytelling.
For those not familiar with role-playing games, here's a pretty good explanation:
"A role-playing game (RPG, often roleplaying game) is a type of game in which the participants assume the roles of fictional characters and collaboratively create or follow stories. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterization, and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines. Within the rules, players can improvise freely; their choices shape the direction and outcome of the games." from
